Leah Moushey is an Associate in the International Department of the law firm of Miller & Chevalier Chartered based in Washington D.C. Her practice focuses on international corporate compliance and internal and government investigations related primarily to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti-corruption standards.
Prior to law school, Ms. Moushey lived in Maputo, Mozambique, where she worked at a global health non-governmental organization, assisting in the design of a study to assess institutional barriers to access of and adhesion to post-exposure prophylaxis and related services for victims of sexual violence. During law school, Ms. Moushey served as a legal extern in the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division's Fraud Section, a legal intern at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and an extern at the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project. She also served as President of the George Washington University Law School's International Law Society and as a member of The George Washington International Law Review.
Ms. Moushey received her J.D., with honors, from the George Washington University Law School and her bachelor's degree in International Relations, Spanish, and Rhetoric, summa cum laude, from Syracuse University.
